Comment on a statement: English in the 21st Century

" We have grow up with the idea of dominance meaning that a language actually pushes out other languages and takes over the world. That´s not actually what seems to be happening. Precisely because people are learning english as a second language, they are not actually giving up their first language. They are becoming bilingual or multilingual. So the spread of English around the world is actually creating a greatly increased bilingualism and multilingualism and multilingualism. In the future most people will speak more than one language and will switch between languages for routine task." - David Graddol


I totally agree with David Graddol because , in my opinion, English will not overcome/substitute all the other world´s languages, despite the fact that the number of people speaking English as a first language continues to rise . The students learn English because it´s considered to be an universal language and with the intention of becoming polyglot so they interact with their similar all over the world and not with the proposal of adopting that language as standard.
In the future, I hope that all the world languages can coexist!





I did this work because I thought it would be important go further on my writing skills and develop my critical capacity. It really helped me because now I have different perspectives about English worldwide and the importance of each language.

Game Review: "Heavy Rain"

This game is completely different from the rest of the games that are on the market.
You play as 4 different characters( a private detective, a journalist, a cop and the father of the missing child).The main objective is find the kid that was kidnapped, and to achieve it Ethan Mars ( the father of the missing child) has to go through a lot of trials that will put his life in risk, so he proofs that he loves his son so much that he is capable of killing himself to save his son !The gameplay is very interesting since you only have to press the symbols when they appear on the screen( quick time events), the sound is really immersive and creates perfectly the heavy atmosphere of some sequences, and the voice acting is great too.
As you can see it´s really awesome and one particular thing, is that the game is so well made and the story line is so good that when you discover the origami killer, it depends on the choices that you make since the beginning , you will stay like " Oh my god how is it possible, it does not fit the personality of the killer! ".
I am sorry that not everyone could enjoy this new experience in video games market, on the other hand for those that can enjoy it, I just have one word to describe it MASTERPIECE !
